Hunter S. Thompson didn’t give a fuck
In 1994 Hunter S. Thompson was on a panel discussing the influence of the Beats in America. There were 500 people in the audience when he nonchalantly took out a bowl, packed it with his stash, lit up and started passing it around.
This man truly didn't give a fuck.
Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks
When Ernest Hemingway lived in Florida in the 1930’s, he was still able to obtain absinthe from nearby Cuba, where he often went marlin fishing and later acquired a house. In a 1931 letter he writes:
"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife underhand into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all the furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Bill Murray – Can’t touch this
During the production of "What About Bob" Bill Murray and 55 other people had a party on a bus and then this happened as told by Bill himself.
"We were drinking moonshine. We were near Smith Mountain Lake Virginia, and it's a county that's famous for making moonshine and we went to see MC Hammer. We ended up on the side of the stage. Let me preface this by saying I was working really hard on this movie and I didn't have time to work as hard as I could have on my laundry all the time.
So the spotlight starts creeping over and damned if he doesn't come over and do knucklehead and that kind of stuff. I said, 'I'm high on moonshine, go away.' So he comes back for the big 'Can't Touch This' number and I happen to know the entire crazy dance step.
So he makes me come up on stage and start doing the thing. Well, what the hell? I've had like four or five ounces of 190 proof alcohol. So I start doing the dance number and I'm screaming. I start pushing a little bit far and I go for some sort of advanced move and split my pants! And... I didn't have all the clothing that I have on a lot of times.
I did sort of shuffle over to the side and I staggered over to where my wife Jenny was and she was a professional costumer and she just miraculously happened to have seven massive safety pins in her pocket. So I got pinned right there and I went out and finished the number with a little bit less enthusiasm but a lot of soul."

The coke consumption of the Fleetwood Mac’s

Mick Fleetwood estimated that, over the course of his career, he had spent $8 million on cocaine. And Stevie Nicks snorted so much coke that she was rumored to have hired a special "assistant" to administer the drug rectally. Eventually, the band's road manager instituted a form of rationing, handing out one Heineken bottle cap full of cocaine to each member before each show.
The bandana trip

Jimi Hendrix had his iconic bandana that he often wore on stage. It's said that he put tabs of lsd under the bandana before each concert. Then, as he worked up a sweat during the performance, the drug would slowly penetrate through his skin and give him a trip.
Winston Churchill – 200% healthy

Bernard Montgomery the WWII British general, who was a proud teetotaler, which is someone who abstains completely from alcoholic beverages, once said "I never smoke or have a drink and I am 100% healthy." When Winston Churchill heard this his reply was "I have a smoke and a drink every day and I am 200% healthy!"
Hollyweed

On January 1st 1976, Danny Finegood and friends climbed to the top of Mount Lee and used stones, rope and sheets to change the Hollywood sign into reading Hollyweed. This was done to celebrate that a new marijuana law had been implemented by the state of California. It changed the charge of possession of marijuana from a felony to a misdemeanor. The changing of the sign made front pages around the world.
Richard Harris – I just love drinking and being drunk

Actor and committed rugby fan and player Richard Harris suffered nine broken noses - and not all of them were from playing rugby. Harris was perfectly happy to let his fists do the talking if necessary. He once went on a three-week drinking session with an Irish rugby team after popping out to the shops for a bottle of milk, leaving his wife none the wiser. He summed up his love of the alcohol thus: "I don't drink because I have problems or I want to escape. I just love drinking and being drunk." You can't say fairer than that.
Steven Tyler’s health tips

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler was once asked to share his views on health. "Even in the old days," Tyler said, "we'd make an effort." How so? "When I'd go out to score on Eighth Avenue, I'd get my junk and a chocolate doughnut, but I'd always also pick up one of those pita-pocket health-food sandwiches. You know, something really good for me."
