In 1983 Dennis Hopper performed the Russian Dynamite Death Chair Act at the Big H speedway in Houston, Texas. He sat down in the middle of a circle of 17 sticks of dynamite, set it off, and emerged from the explosion unscathed.

One day in the 1970s, Dennis Hopper - whose daily diet then included half a gallon of rum, a few beers, and several grams of cocaine - arrived in Mexico to shoot a film. Ranting that people were being tortured in his hotel, he stripped naked and walked out of town.
He soon returned, explaining that he felt snakes and bugs beneath his skin, saw alien spacecraft, and had become a solar system. When friends attempted to persuade him to get dressed, he cried, "No! Kill me like this!"

Dennis Hopper received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this Saturday. The sad fact is that he's ill with prostate cancer and will probably not survive that long.
