Keith Richards – Life
Tomorrow the long-awaited autobiography of the one and only Keith Richards is released. At last, the man himself tells the story of his wild life. You can order the book at Amazon.com.
Listening obsessively to Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters records, learning guitar and forming a band with Mick Jagger and Brian Jones. The Rolling Stones's first fame and the notorious drug busts. Creating immortal riffs, wildfire tours of the U.S., isolation and addiction. Falling in love with Patti Hansen. Estrangement from Jagger and subsequent reconciliation. The list goes on and on.
"Some of my most outrageous nights I can only believe actually happened because of corroborating evidence. No wonder I’m famous for partying! The ultimate party, if it’s any good, you can’t remember it. You get these brief vignettes of what you did. 'Oh, you don’t remember shooting the gun? Pull up the carpet, look at those holes, man.' I feel a bit of shame and embarrassment. 'You can’t remember that? When you got your dick out, swinging from the chandelier, anybody up for grabs, wrap it in a five-pound note?' Nope, don’t remember a thing about it."
- Keith Richards, excerpt from the book

Keith Richards leftovers
During the recording of Exile on Main Street in 1971, Keith Richards, who was living with his girlfriend Anita Pallenberg on the French Riviera, had a budget of $7,000 per week - of which half was for drugs and alcohol. When the couple left their residence, a friend cleaned it out and found fifty grams of cocaine, fifty grams of heroin, a huge quantity of hashish, and five hundred used syringes.
Who the Fuck is Mick Jagger?
During the Rolling Stones' Tour of the Americas in 1975 Keith Richards wore this t-shirt.
